Mall Highlights
With its stunning architecture, exceptional store mix and distinctive style of
entertainment, The Galleria has established itself as the #1 shopping and tourist
destination in Houston with over 24 million annual visitors.
Set beneath spectacular glass atriums, The Galleria features more than 375 fine
stores and restaurants, an impressive ice rink and two Westin hotels. This
world-class shopping complex showcases the best names in retailing including
Neiman Marcus, Cartier, Gucci, Macy's, Tiffany & Co., Saks Fifth Avenue, The
Sharper Image, Ralph Lauren Collection, Louis Vuitton and Houston's only
Nordstrom.
Set in the center of Uptown Houston, The Galleria is located at the intersection of
Westheimer Rd. and Post Oak Boulevard just off Loop 610.
Kemah Boardwalk
Kids will enjoy the amusement rides: a carousel, a Ferris wheel, Crazy Subs and a
gas-powered train modeled after an 1863 Central Pacific Railroad locomotive.
The C.P. Huntington takes visitors on tours of the boardwalk while the conductor
shares bits of Kemah history. All that amusement is a nice diversion while waiting
for your restaurant reservation.
Many restaurants line the boardwalk. The most intriguing is the Aquarium, which
has a 50,000-gallon tank stretching from floor to ceiling filled with exotic species
from around the world. A three-story circular stairway curves up and around
another tank--15,000 gallons and 35 feet of fish and water. Joe's Crab Shack's
festive party atmosphere makes it the most spirited of the bunch, hands down.
Shopping is fun here, too.
